The Local Self Government Department (LSG / DLB), Rajasthan has published the official notification (Advt. No. 01/2026) for direct recruitment to the post of Safai Karmchari (Sweeper). A massive drive with 24,752 positions is open for eligible native residents of Rajasthan across various Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Municipalities (Nagar Nigam / Nagar Parishad / Nagar Palika).
Online application forms have been activated starting 15 August 2026 and will close on 28 September 2026 (23:59 hrs). Registrations and fee submissions must be completed online via the Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) Citizen Portal.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)
- • Minimum Age: 21 Years
- • Maximum Age: 40 Years
- • Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, and Women candidates will receive upper age relaxations as per Government of Rajasthan norms.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- • Candidate must be a bona fide resident (Mool Niwas) of Rajasthan.
- • Must possess a minimum of 1 continuous year of experience performing cleaning work (Safai Karya) in state government departments, urban local bodies (Nagar Palika / Nigam), state undertakings, or registered contractors.

- Practical Assessment / Field Work Test (Toilet, Sewer, Road Cleaning)
- Document Verification & Final Merit Allotment
One-Time Registration (OTR) Fee
- General / Creamy Layer (OBC/MBC): ₹600/-
- SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / MBC (NCL) / EWS: ₹400/-
- Divyangjan (Differently Abled): ₹400/-
- *Candidates who have already completed OTR need not pay again.
