Railway Recruitment Cell, East Coast Railway (RRC/BBS), Bhubaneswar has released the centralized notification (Notification No. ECOR/Pers/RRC/Act Apprentice/2026-27) for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. Online applications are invited for a total of 1,599 training slots across various workshops and divisions, including Mancheswar Workshop, Khurda Road, Sambalpur, Rayagada, and Headquarters.
Eligible candidates who have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) with minimum 50% aggregate marks and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade can submit their online application forms on the official portal (rrcbbs.org.in) from 26 August 2026 to 15 September 2026.

Selection Process & Key Guidelines
- Selection Mode: Selection is based purely on an academic merit list prepared on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (Class 10th).
- No Written Exam / Interview: There will be no written examination or viva-voce round.
- Tie-Breaking Criteria: If marks are identical, the older candidate will be preferred; if the date of birth is also identical, the candidate who passed 10th earlier will be placed higher.
- Railway Level-1 Preference: Apprentices trained in Railway establishments (CCAA) holding NAC certificates receive preference for up to 20% vacancies in open market direct recruitment to Railway Level-1 posts.
How to Apply Online
1.Visit RRC Portal:
Go to the official website of Railway Recruitment Cell, Bhubaneswar at rrcbbs.org.in.
2.Complete Online Registration:
Click on the link for Engagement of Act Apprentices Notification No. ECOR/Pers/RRC/Act Apprentice/2026-27 and register using your basic personal details, email ID, and mobile number.
3.Select Preferences & Fill Details:
Select your preferred Division/Workshop and Trade carefully (only one Division option is allowed per application) and fill in academic details.
4.Upload Required Documents:
Upload scanned copies of your recent photo (20–70 KB), signature (20–30 KB), Class 10th marksheet & certificate, ITI marksheets & NCVT/SCVT certificate, and Category/Disability certificates.
5.Pay Fee & Final Submit:
Pay the ₹100 application fee online (if applicable). Submit the application before 15 September 2026 (17:00 Hrs) and print out the confirmation page for Document Verification.
