BPSC TRE 4.0 School Teacher Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 32,388 Vacancies

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), in coordination with the Education Department, Government of Bihar, has released the official notification (Advt. No. 14/2026) for the Teacher Recruitment Examination 4.0 (TRE 4.0).This mega recruitment drive aims to fill 32,388 vacancies for Primary Teachers (Classes 1–5), Middle School Teachers (Classes 6–8), Secondary Teachers (Classes 9–10), and Higher Secondary Teachers (Classes 11–12) across government schools in Bihar.

The online application window will open on 21 September 2026 and eligible candidates can submit their forms until 21 October 2026 through the official BPSC portal.

Eligibility Criteria (as of 01 August 2026)

1. Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026)

• Minimum Age:
  • Primary & Middle School Teachers (Classes 1–8): 18 Years
  • Secondary & Higher Secondary Teachers (Classes 9–12): 21 Years
• Maximum Age:
  • Unreserved Male (UR): 37 Years
  • Backward Class / Extremely Backward Class (BC / EBC – Male & Female): 40 Years
  • Unreserved Female (UR-F): 40 Years
  • SC / ST (Male & Female): 42 Years
• Age relaxations apply for trained teachers and special categories under Bihar Government rules.

2. Educational & Teacher Eligibility Qualifications

• Primary Teacher (Classes 1–5):Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks + 2-Year D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed AND qualified CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I.
• Middle School Teacher (Classes 6–8):Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject + 2-Year D.El.Ed OR B.Ed / B.El.Ed AND qualified CTET Paper-II or BTET Paper-II.
• Secondary Teacher (Classes 9–10):Graduation / Post Graduation in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks + B.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed AND qualified Bihar STET Paper-I.
• Higher Secondary Teacher (Classes 11–12):Master’s Degree (Post Graduation) in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks + B.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed AND qualified Bihar STET Paper-II.

Selection Process

The selection process is based entirely on a written merit examination with no interview stage:

1. Written Examination (Objective MCQ):
   • Part I: Language (Qualifying nature – English & Hindi/Urdu/Bengali).
   • Part II: General Studies (Elementary Maths, Reasoning, General Awareness, Science, Social Science, Geography, National Movement).
   • Part III: Subject-specific discipline syllabus (for Classes 6–8, 9–10, and 11–12).
2. Document Verification (DV): Verification of academic, category, and TET/STET certificates.
3. Merit List & School Allotment: Final appointment based on written test scores and district/cadre choices.

How to Apply

1. Visit the BPSC online portal at onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.
2. Click on the “Online Registration” tab and select “TRE 4.0 School Teacher Recruitment (Advt. No. 14/2026)”.
3. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) with your active mobile number and email ID to generate your User ID and Password.
4. Log into the applicant dashboard and open the comprehensive application form.
5. Select the relevant teaching level (PRT, Middle, Secondary, or Senior Secondary) and subject preferences.
6. Enter educational marks, D.El.Ed/B.Ed credentials, and CTET/BTET/STET certificate details.
7. Upload clear digital copies of required certificates (in PDF format), live photograph via webcam, and signature in both Hindi and English.
8. Pay the applicable examination fee through the online payment gateway.
9. Review all entered details carefully, submit the final application, and download the confirmation page for reference.
