Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026): 18 to 37 years. (Upper age relaxation applicable for reserved categories of Punjab as per rules).
Educational Qualification (as on 04/11/2026):
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or equivalent from a recognized university.
Matriculation (Class 10) passed with Punjabi as a compulsory/elective subject.
Proficiency in computer operations.
Selection Process & Exam Scheme
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) — 2 Hours, 100 Marks:
General Knowledge (Objective): 50 Questions (50 Marks).
English Composition: 50 Marks (20 Objective + 30 Subjective: Essay, Letter, Precis, Punjabi-to-English translation).
Qualifying Standard: 33% minimum in each subject and 40% aggregate in CBT.
Negative Marking: 0.25 ($1/4$) mark deducted per incorrect answer in objective sections.
Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) — Spreadsheet Test (minimum 4/10 marks) and English Typing Test (minimum 30 WPM). (Qualifying nature).
Stage 3: Document Verification (DV) — Verification of original testimonials and credentials.
